This was another one of my dedications to a friend who was in a serious car accident and had to go through months of therapy to walk again. The journey was not easy, but with Gods help she would find joy!
THE JOY OF TOMORROW
For the tears that fall today,
Are painful in everyway.
The hurt I feel so deep,
Keeps me from my sleep.
How long must I fight?
One more day or one more night.
Please God guide me through.
So that I can see the love of you.
I need your help to make me strong.
So that I can have the strength to carry on.
For I know that if I can get through today,
That the Joy of the Lord will carry my tears away!!
It's a special bit of writing when you put yourself into the heart of a hurting friend and try to express how she is feeling. I'm sure that she, in return, felt the hope that you tried to inspire in her through this poem.
