This was a poem I was awaken by God to write on Mother's Day in 2006. Though my mother was nothing like this, God was showing me that she was important in my being. With Mother's Day approaching I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's whether like this or not. But for those who's mother did fit this description, how Blessed you are!
Thank you God for my mother.
The love she shares like no other.
Thank you God for her tender care.
With my name upon her lips, as she goes to you in prayer.
Thank you God for dishes so very clean.
The Teaching, & the nursing, & the love I’ve always seen.
Thank you God for the food that she provides.
The hugs & the kisses & the tears she often hides.
Thank You God for the stories she always tells,
About gardens, & boats, & people inside of whales.
Thank you God for the mom you assigned to me,
For you knew no other could love me so unconditionally.
Thank you God for you knew right from the start,
Exactly which woman should take & hold my heart.
Thank you God, for another chance to say,
I LOVE YOU DEAR MOTHER, HAVE A HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
Angela, by writing such a great poem for the desire of what a mother should be like in your heart, you have written the recipe for the mother your own children should have---and I think they have her...Jerry

I'll tell you this Angela, this fits my mom to a tee. I often said she was born and Angel and God is lucky to have her with Him now but she is in my heart always and I'll forever miss her. A fantastic write dear.
