All Need His Blessings

Before Santa leaves the North Pole
(the elves and Mrs. Claus besides),
Santa take the time to kneel,
ask His blessings for the sleigh ride,
that gifts not displace
worship of His Grace.
All need His blessings.

Light surrounds Jesus’ haloed head—
then (as now)—the babe was cherished.
There can never be enough said
about the gifts humans receive
when they’ve faith and hope,
learn best how to cope.
All need His blessings.

Before Santa boards his red sleigh
he thanks his elves and Mrs. Claus.
We need one another; that’s His way!
Humans craving peace need heed His laws.
Let me make it clear
--that’s every moment of every day!
All need His blessings.

We make decisions everyday.
Let Him help you, Him have a say.
Happiness should be all seasons—
daily there are needs and reasons
for love, charity.
His gifts set us free but …
we need His blessings.
