Functions of an Israeli Soldier
|
He kills hopes
Mans checkpoints
A whole nation to ransom holds.
He is a Sinner:
Civilian incarcerator
Family destroyer
Home bulldozer
Hate foster
Oppressor.
A mean human rights violator
Like his brethren
In the Pharaoh's order
God's creation destroyer.
Pray for the Israeli soldier for he is:
A fool
A tool
A toy
A machine
A hand
For the Zionist Hold.
Free the Israel soldier for he is in bondage
Going on rampage
Paraohs-fashion cold.
He wears blinders
Holidays in tanks
Jailer of bird and child.
History denier
He is a tool
Serving a fool
Zionism his all
Pray for the Israeli soldier.

ah, my dear Safi..you tossed oil on a fire, it seems. In truth, your writing is powerful and you are always passionate and loyal to your Lord.
I would just offer that *all* soldiers are sworn to do their duty and thus just obey their higher-ups...rare, very rare is the soldier who lives his conscience in contrast to his commander's views. Therefore, let's widen the scope here and look at the puppet masters rather than at the puppets.
love and peace to you, my fine Poet...and a Happy New Year to you!

Safi, this is an outstanding write. The Israili soldier is always busy killing innocent people, destroying valuable property and displacing native plastinians daily. The only reason for the existance of the Israili soldier is to kill and destroy. We need to pray for them and work hard to free them from the world of fear and hatred into faith and kindness.
Thank you ukht Safi.

there is no room for hate in poetry ...
poets should reflect unity and encourage understanding through the written word ... and lets not get into who was here first ...

| "History denier" ??? Your message here is lost in detached fundamentalist hatred. And to JoAnne and Margurite...Fuck peace and love...It doesn't stop bullets or bombs. If anyone is in denial I would look at the Mullahs who prostitute the message of your prophet as tools to those who employ religious dogma to empower themselves and infect the common sense and humanity of your faithful. Get a clue...look at the facts...for no intelligent opinion can be formed when one is so vehemently opposed to anything outside imposed, indoctrinated, antiquated and barbaric beliefs. I respect the teachings of your prophet as I do the prophets that form the foundation of other religious beliefs. However your religion, like christianity, is not immune to being hijacked for political gain...Its happened before..its happenning again. Only those who see the truth can make a change. Wake up. |

Well I have to say Im really surprised by the uproar of hate people seem to be throwing around. I fail to see the hate at all, when did expressing your opinion turn into hate? well perhaps if we were offered more of an explanation, we could at least understand! See the way I see it, when you make such a grand statement as Hate etc...follow it up by an equally grand explanation. And yet again I think if this is truely hate, who exactly she is hating? Soliders who obviously we cannot deny kill numbers and numbers upon a land that was never theirs to begin with? Its because you have turned this into a religious war. This palestine conflict is NOT a religious one, i do not understand why it is being turned into that. It's about one group of people's land being taken, and in the meantime their rights being reduced! Why throw 'anti-sematic' around? It hardly makes any sense considering that Arabs too are sematic, probably more sematic than any European dwelling in Israel today. Can we forget that palestians too have christians?other religions? that more than 300,000 palestians were displaced forcibly.
And another point is why can't Safi have her own opinion? Why is it that we're allowed to have any opinion we please about any situation in thr world, and we're not termed haters...but when it comes to this conflict, opposing views are put down vehemently! Does everyone share the same opinion regarding every world issue? No! Because we are not a uniform world! These are soldiers after all! Soldiers kill! So if i think that the reason behind their killing is wrong? Im instantly hating??and filthy no less?
Why? Safi writes what she feels, what she sees from her point of view. Understand that. What about those US soldiers in Iraq and the overwhelming number of people who are againt it? Are they all haters and filthy mouted people? As fellow educated people i PLEAD with you to at least research this conflict more outside what you are exposed to before jumping to conclusions! And perhaps you have researched enough, but respect another's as I even though I seriously disagree with you can respect your opinions, and even if I do not, at least respect you enough to try and understand where you are coming from without attacking you with baseless terms.
I stress again, do not let mainstream news get to your heads and dare to think outside the box and always keep in mind...this is not a religious war and to callously throw around terms of jewish this, muslim this just further intensifies the conflict. It is time we seperate religion from politics, and only then can we get somewhere.
Edwin, I agree, there are many amongst us who do use religion wrongly but then again there are many more who don't do that, and support a cause without violence or slander. And one cannot turn their back on peace and love, as optimisim is a good thing. If we do not preach peace, equality and love for all, we are no different then those fundamentalist terrorists you have stated.
Thank you

a powerful work --
a good counter to the rathher one sided pov of the comercial news ---
puts me in mind of storry told of Moses at the red sea. The Israelites were rejoicing in their victory over Pharoh ... Moses brought the celebration to a screeching halt whrn, pointing to a dead Egyptian charioteer, he said, "This, too, was a Child of God."
good write
