People are dying in the Ghettos does anyone care. Hope this poem does not offend anyone. Freedom of Speech is the American way. This is a reality.

Men, women and children will be dying in the ghetto, If you take away our resources, Hospitals, Education, Healthcare for the Elderly, Those programs are the core of our community,

Our hold foundation will be shattered, If you take away our government funds

You act as if, it doesn’t matter

That money was helping us to survive-Feeding our community-Keeping our children and Seniors alive-If you cut our budget it will surely hurt us-Our children will suffer the most,

To the people, You made a promise, That you would not betray us, You advocated in your campaigns

You made a promise,

You would fix the budget,

Save our State from destruction and shame

Tax payers voted, the count is in

You did win

Now it’s time, for you to begin.

But NO!

You used us, like all the others Politician’sWho reigned before you? You’re just playin a character roleSomething that is easy for you to do,Just a part to play
Doin it the Hollywood way,Political figures, they all tell lies,Lie, cheat and steal just to get you on their sideWhen they win, well its too late then,

The raft of the new regime,Just walked in,You’re no better than the terrorists,

You’re behavior is no different-Your hurting your own people But, you feel no remorse,

Cutting this program

Cutting that program,

Maybe you didn’t notice,

The homeless people in the street,

Sleeping in boxes, corners, alleys Anywhere they think is safe,

Sometimes taking up the blockAll you see is miles of shopping carts

This is our country

Why is this happening?

Yes, our government doesn't care about poor people, whether they are here or on the other side of the world. At least here we don't have genocide wiping out whole populations. Still, it's a tough time in the ghetto. The only difference is that some are still able to rise above it all.
