~ Beyond the Wooden Gate ~

(part 3)

I walked the well worn path until the fork came into view,
I stayed right in the middle, as the reflection told me to.
Walking through the tall grass, where my path made its divide,
I could see the old growth forest split, into one on either side.

The field of grass I walked in went as far as I could see,
I didn’t know how far to go, or where my stop would be.
I suddenly became aware of a bubble in the sky,
Large and pink, it floated down to greet me eye to eye.

The bubble then surrounded me and lifted off the ground.
I felt its only purpose was to keep me safe and sound.
It floated over treetops, past white clouds where I could see,
An old man atop a plateau in the white mist filigree.

I stepped out of the bubble, to the plateau in the sky.
The old man smiled then gestured towards a vortex standing by.
Spinning, whirling, twirling, vivid colors bright and clear.
The old man said "enjoy yourself, I’ll be waiting for you here.
