A poem I wrote to honor and to thank my friends and "partners in rhyme" at Sunny 99.1 FM in Houston, Texas for all they do to ease everyone into a splendid morning.

They are with you every weekday
From 5 a.m. till 9
To get you well on your way
For a morning that’s divine
They give news, weather and traffic
And everything you need to know —
In a format, never graphic
They’re the Sunny morning show.
They share the latest chatter
From the stars in Hollywood
And advice that truly matters
For the sake of greater good
In a theme, family-favored
Made of music, games and fun
From which they never waver
Till the morning show is done.
They are with you every weekday
From 5 a.m. till 9
To get you well on your way
For a morning that’s divine
Whether en route to your workplace
Or just walking through the park
You’ll surely have a smile on your face
With Sunny, Dana and Marc.

What a wonderful tribute. I listen to morning shows and often wonder if those people behind the microphone are ever really thanked for what they do. You're a good friend, Jill.
