A poem I sent with all my Christmas cards this year, I hope it brings a little holiday cheer to you and yours as well.
|
A figment in the winter wonderland,
resting in silence on the untouched snow,
embraced my soul in tearful joy unplanned;
but, why was my spirit deeply moved so?
I strolled upon the barren path ahead,
nothing but mere footprints left in my wake;
on pristine grounds where angels dared to tread,
that no man living would ever forsake.
With each footstep, my heart leapt in my chest,
as I drew closer to the sight I’d seen.
Then, suddenly I realized I was blessed
As I approached a special evergreen.
Above the tree, a lone twinkling star shone,
o’er the loveliest moonlit snow cross known.

Thanks for bringing the holiday spirit to us at AD. You have such a special way with rhyme and this poem has a delightful way of using natural occurrences like a bit of starlight to round out your message.
