True love
Busy in the waiting room
I observed an elderly gent
He passed about and viewed the time
I could see time not well spent
I beckoned him to the office of mine
Saying I notice you observe the time
Yes he said with sweet sad smile
At the rest home it’s tea time
Who is the one that waits for you?
Will they be upset if you are late?
No he said, five years she’s been
In her current state
Her mind is gone, she knows me not
But I remember her
The life we led the love we share
Hoping glimmers will occur
She is my love, my life you see
A promise I did take
From moments first wee tender kiss
Through rough times we dismissed
Our vows of love were made
She will always be my flower
My morning’s gentle breeze
The one I carried in sickness
And her the same to me
Not once will I ever leave her
Not here and after time
When God takes her to his kingdom
My Rose to all will shine
So you see my doctor friend
Tarry I should not
For every moments gift with her
Is one not wished for loss
She is my special Angel
I cherish her you see
Our love will be forever
Even not if she know me
He left my office slowly
You could see that he was tired
But tears did well up in my eyes
True love was never finer
