"The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected." – Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

 Tears upon your cheek

Tears do stream upon our face

As you slowly walk away
My other half has gone
So far so far away

Two hearts were pulled apart
The pain of missing you
It only took a second
A moment we both knew

I light a candle for my love
To watch and see it glow
For we are the light o’ dove
Shining both aglow

Every single breath you take
Is now a breath of mine
One in which we both can make
For we have seen the signs

Remember places that we walked
Remember where we’ve been
Smelling the clean pine tree myrrh
Clean sheets beneath our skin

Sand between our toes is warm
Cold lake upon our legs
Squeals of happy joyous claim
Shared our own refrains

We bridged the span o’ time gone past
Both ready now for more
Absolute love chimes their verse
Forever sweetly poured

For lessons now we both have learned
Our karma we’ve resolved
Union brought together
Our oneness has been found

We tenderly embrace ourselves
Each other one last time
Our promises of love to speak
We know there comes the time

So bid me dear o’ my sweet love
Allow my tears to flow
Let time to quickly pass for us
Our love you know it grows

Just take my tears upon your cheek
And let them kiss your skin
As I also take yours tears o’ sweet
Replenishing therein

For naught you’ve gone
I know you’re here
Although out of my sight
Our essence blend together
Both one white shining light

All I can do is sigh and feel pain for someone loved so greatly and far away from you. Beautiful Lily, I hope when you open your eyes he's there.

I know this feeling, I know how it feels not to be with the one you love. It's like you write to my own heart.

The pain must be terrible when two connected souls are separated.
It leaves an emptiness and a feeling of being incomplete.
How tenderly you put ointment on the deep pain with the last verse

For naught you've gone
I know you're here
Although out of my sight
Our essence blend together
Both one white shining light

Whether object oriented or state of mind oriented, the "in love" essence knows only its own elements that make up the appreciation.

You speak of beauty and knowing what love is dear Lily, your words speak directly from your heart. Your talent is beauty in itself.

I bow and tip my hat to you

Lily,
Being a part of each other makes the parting so destructive, like the ripping out of a part of your heart would be. Your words are so sensitivly written that the reader can feel the meaning from inside.

Taking the moment as the moment is supposed to be taken . . . and shared. Parting is such sweet sorrow, as the saying goes, but the parting will only turns to joy upon the reunion which is sure to come.

Enjoyed the loving manner in which this poem was projected.
