The crimson bottlebrush

The crimson bottlebrush is one of Australia's beautiful native species. A small shrubby tree that is covered in the most spectacular crimson blossoms that resemble a, what else?...bottlebrush!

Crimson bottlebrush with branches bowed

Wild bees drink nectar, as pollen they load

What wonders they are for a heart to behold

As they hum to their hive to deliver their gold

The bottlebrush sways as the breeze swirls above

In my Garden of Eden by God’s given love

Oh, wasted years that I took for granted

Seeing, but blind to what nature has planted

So take a look with renewed appreciation

At all of the marvels of God’s creation

Wildflowers that grow by the side of the road

And the crimson bottlebrush with branches bowed

How often we overlook the beauty that is not so obvious. Lovely work David.

David, it's wonderful when we notice the small things in life and how beautiful they are...I often wish that I had been this way thirty years ago...but you know what? Better late than never as they say!

We have those here as well. I kind of like them but they are not wild and are commonly planted in more drought friendly yards. Patrick

A nice push to the sensation of our existence and the many values of our surroundings, David.

I have noticed that I don't see certain things like I used to; but that has to be because I have not looked with the same eyes that I once had; those things are still there, but I have not been there with them. Thanks, David. I think I will look more carefully around, and re-discover the simple beauties of living.

This is so beautiful and I it makes me so very happy that I can read out of this poem that you are so much more in peace with yourself and the world. I wish you that all of your days will be filled with the small, uplifting things that happen all the time around us, be it in nature or with the people around us. Love Sabine.

The best part of this poem for me, is that you are finally seeing nature's beauty..That is the Universe giving back to you, embrace Mother Earth's beauty and always remember that there really is no time to squander any longer..Breathe David, and take in the healing energy that I am sending you, now go and forgive yourself and live...

Much peace, love and healing light,
Amber

I agree with you, Dave, it seems when we are young, when we could see the best, we didn't see what was right in front of our eyes, we ignored the beauty of Gods Nature...what a waste for us...ed
