There is more than one way to control our day |
|
Peace be still, said he
As he harnessed the wind and raging sea
What a remarkable feat to control by will
And make everything around become perfectly still
How our hearts do ache as we battle our ills
Lacking the secret to those strange skills
It seems so predictable that hell breaks loose
When we least expected and we say, what's the use
But mystical powers remain within reach
To those who allow heaven to teach
Ways of control and powers that fill
To say to our troubles, peace be still
There may be some truth to mind over matter
But we will never know in the midst of the clatter
Until we reach higher levels of command
Use our faith, then take our stand
Summon the magic from another land
Then speak those words from our little hill
And say to all else, peace be still
