When you study Van Gogh, think about Theo.

I keep your tiny toddler hands smeared in paint as a picture.

I keep your baby feet squished in clay as sculpture.

When you practice in chorus, sing!

I can hear the rhythm of the first words you muttered.

I can hear crashing cymbals of pots and pans.

I can hear the beat of your plucked violin.

When you hold time hostage as you remember,

The note

The word

The form

The color

The texture

The arrangement of flowers and weeds picked for me.

Your curious senses may be the favorite teacher.

When art has a focal point that merges with a patron’s perspective;

you sip the soul’s intimate seepage escaping all bounds.

For now, little artist, be one of God’s love thieves;

and hope to capture and craft the profound.

Art and love have defined Is.

Foolish, isn’t it?

THERE IS A REASON WHY THE WORD OF GOD TELLS US TO...BECOME AS CHILDREN...AND ALSO THAT...A CHILD SHALL LEAD...
IT IS THERE, IN THE BEGINNING OF LIFE, IN THIS GLORIOUS STATE OF FREEDOM, THAT 'EXPRESSION' BEGINS. WELL DONE, MORGAN! NOTHING FOOLISH ABOUT THIS...THIS IS WISDOM FROM ABOVE(SMILE). THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Excellence as it is written capturing everything in these brief lines and "Expression" is beautiful in the expression.

Oh, this truly is a profound read. I cannot comment effectively enough, nor deeply enough, for so much is said - family, art, metaphysical existence. And I so agree with us defining 'Is' - one of my main inspirational forces, our power to redefine anything!

Wonderful verse - perfect metric fluency, rhythm that starts and ends, in wriitng sense, in itself, making outworldly connections and continuum, unstoppable. Fresh, light expressionalism; soulful symbolism; advisory and inspirational tone. - Nothing to add or subtract.

My favourite read of authorsden, so far.

Thank you for this piece of art and for reviewing my work!

all the best, arturs

This is utterly exquisite!!!
What an intimate poem with such creativity!
My favorite line "you sip the soul's intimate seepage escaping all bounds"
The soft sounds here are hypnotic, as is the perspective of your poem.
Joy,
Christine

Foolish, isn’t it?

Oh I think this poem is lovely and nothing about the theme that you share is foolish, Morgan. Thank you. Love and best wishes,
