Thinking of,

    kitten cuddly tenderness

or pale pink petals that open

and release a wisp of spring in the air

or a hint of a wish on a smile,

                      sweeping lashes

and one melting teardrop,   of  joy

or a hand that slightly brushes a cheek

                   lips plump and sweet

               that linger for a moment,

            just between mine

a necktie undone like a satin ribbon,

     tissue - cotton shirttails unwrapped,

 slowly

    or fingers that slide

       through silky long tresses,

          faint feathery whisperings

             of love,

             and you,

               my Valentine

cradled in the warmth of the moon, bathed in the stars

oh so gently, in my arms

Another piece of extraordinary depth. One is saddened in this day and age at the amount of mundane expressions of love, or the trash for art realm that seems to get more thickly layered each day. Your choice of layout style was also consistent with your obviously grown-up sense of respect as the single most important element of love. Well done.

Me likie.... Think the "word wrap" on some of the longer lines messed up the layout you had intended, but the message comes through. Dick

I love how you presented this poem, it flows just as smoothly reading it as it is visually...The last stanza did it for me,,,,,

This is exquisite. This, my friend is . . . a wonderful poem of desire and love and want and . . . what should be, but so many times isn't. I am impressed. You have been away for a few days, good to see you back, and with gusto.
