'POLITICAL SCIENCE' ... WHAT A MISNOMER!
'POLITICAL CON-SCIENCE' ... NON-EXISTENT!
THE PIC? I CALL IT "OUR MONEY AT WORK!"
INSTEAD OF READING LENGTHY BILLS, LISTENING, PAYING ATTENTION ...
'THEY' PLAY GAMES ON THEIR LIL 'PUTERS' ...
ANY OTHER 'EMPLOYEE' WOULD GET FIRED!
WHERE, OH WHERE ...
HAS THE 'THINKING MAN' GONE?

Someone much wiser than I -
Once said that repeating the Same Thing ...
Over and over, and expecting Different Results -
Was the Definition of Insanity.
Is Insanity Synonymous with Stupidity?
Can I get a ... DUH?
Conversely, we may interpolate the Opposite ...
Brilliance might well be defined As -
The ability to Learn from our Mistakes -
To Create new Results Perhaps?
Is Brilliance Synonymous with Creativity, or Imagination?
Can I get an ... AMEN?
These Two Extremes bring us to the Gist of this Treatise ...
Dichotomous Thinking ... Either/Or ...
As if, Nothing is Possible, In Between -
The Lack of Compromise, or a Middle Ground.
Is Dichotomy Synonymous with Insanity?
Can I get a ... MAYBE?
Consider, if you will, Congress!
Our ‘Two-Party’ System ...
The ‘Party of NO’ ... Republicans, and ...
The ‘Party of YES’ ... Democrats.
Is Congress Synonymous with Insanity?
Can I get a ... PROBABLY?
One is for the ‘Rich’ and the Corporations ...
I like to call Them the ‘Gim’me, Gim’me, Gim’me’ Party.
T’other, is supposedly for the ‘Poor’ and the ‘Masses’.
Or ... the ‘Give’em, Give’em, Give’em’ Party.
Is Greed Synonymous with Brilliance?
Can I get a ... I DON’T THINK SO?
Is it Possible that Both Parties are Greedy?
One tends to Cater to the Wishes of ‘Wall Street’ -
T’other Caters to the ‘Oil Interests’ ...
Individual ‘Representatives’ have Gotten Rich in the Process!
Is the Apathy of the Public Synonymous with Insanity?
Can I get a ... DEFINITELY?
Recent Reports from Several Sources tell us That ...
Out of 535 Congress Members, 244, or -
45.6% of Them are Millionaires!
136 ‘YES’ Members, and 108 ‘NO’ Members!
Are ‘We The People’ Synonymous with ‘Dum-Dums?
Can I get a ... BIG ‘HELL YEAH’?
The Solitary Goal of Every Elected Official Is ...
TO STAY IN OFFICE!
To Reap the Massive Benefits Forever!
Always, but Always, ‘Sweetening Their Own Pie’!
Is Re-Election Synonymous with Stupidity?
Can I get a ... VOTERS ARE DUMB?
Millions upon Millions upon Millions of Dollars ...
Are BLOWN Repeatedly - Over, and Over, and Over -
On Campaign Funding - Year, after Year, after Year -
For Elections - and Most Result in Incumbents Winning!
Are ‘We The People’ Synonymous with ‘We The SHEEPLE’?
Can I get a ... I’M SICK AND TIRED AND WON’T TAKE IT ANYMORE?
Will ‘John and Jane Q. Public’ Finally Get Wise?
Will America’s ‘Sleeping Giant’ Finally Awaken?
Will the ‘Little People’ Finally Start ...
To Use Brilliance ... Instead of Insanity?
Is ‘Common Sense’ Synonymous with ‘Horse Sense’?
Can I get a ... AM I BEATING A DEAD HORSE?
As Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 Rapidly Approaches ...
What Will ... YOU DO?
Re-Elect the Same Old Millionaires?
“A New Broom Sweeps Clean!”
INSANITY vs. BRILLIANCE ...
IT IS YOUR CHOICE!
YOUR CALL!
YOUR DUTY!
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

I'm in your camp, 100%. We have to do something about campaign funding and the idea that staying in Congress will get you rich. It has to go back to being a citizen duty where one steps out of one's personal life and does good works for the country for a short period of time returning to riches after Congress in the private sector (and I'm not talking about lobbying for the PACs–we should do away with PACs).
In defense of solitaire, I first noticed solitaire and learned about fifty versions from my grandmother who played whenever she had any idle time, like waiting for the bread to rise. In 1987, when we got our first Macs, there were some shareware solitaire games that came with the computer. I encouraged our employees to occasionally take a break and play solitaire to refocus their thoughts from their usually insidious routine. I am still playing those games, even though games have reached a much higher level I can't even comprehend requiring eye hand dexterity I never possessed. I don't think it hurts my productivity any to have played those thousands of games. No more, at least, than reviewing endless poetry.

I've always believed that myself. So following your own logic, if we just replace old politicians with new politicians in either party, we'll just keep getting more of the same, with the same results. |

| Voters are generally shitheads. When their heads fall off they settle into the lower stool assembly containment units. This is where the the shit is reconstituted into congressmen and congresswomen. Once reconstituted, the national news media chooses the prize turds from containment and polishes a half dozen. The polish is thin though and soon only a couple can be approached without choking on fumes. This is called the election. Good luck with that. And yes you may quote me verbatim. Cuz p |

I'll take the pill of appointed time for all things and yes this too will pass. As the rape of Nanking happened but is still denied and not taught to Japanese school children, so is the truth of our political system which you outlined here, left out of the text books. Thanks, TK for the rant and tolling bell ringing loudly in our ears now.
Paradise Lost indeed. Starman

I really do not think that we continue to elect the wrong people, although we very often do, but more so the system corrupts those we elect .
Brilliant words, my friend.
