My light weight, pink polka dotted dress
Swirls around my
Legs and body
As I twirl and run
Across the freshly cut green grass
Of my front lawn.
Suddently I spy
A colorful flutter of wings
Soaring along or landing on
Bushes, tree trunks or flowers
In my yard, and
I can't think of
A better thing
To do on
The first day of spring,
Or any day of spring or
Summer for that matter,
Than to catch butterflies.

Spring is barely making an appearance here so there are no butterflies yet. I love this ode to spring from your verses and the graphic image very nicely complements the whole offering. Thank you for sharing, Mary. Love and best wishes,
