The crystal clear beads
Reflect the light
Giving them the
Color of the rainbow.
The tiny prayer balls
Are broken into decades
And the silver decorated balls
Mark the spots
To reflect the mysteries
Of our Lord's life.
As I pray
Beseeching the Blessed Virgin Mary
Whose face is
On a piece of silver
At the beginning and the end
Of this prayer
That is part of
My beliefs and my faith
Grants me grace,
Steadfastness and
Teaches and shows me
How to journey closer to and
Live a life for Jesus who is
The Way, the Truth and the Life.
Today the birthday gift
Of the rosary,
Handmade by a
Co-worker and a friend,
Came to me because
It was something I needed
For I was querulous,
Depressed and selfish.
In silent meditation
My fingers and mind
Walk along the bead,
I can find
Spiritual intervention and therapy,
Peace and I always
Receive what I ask for,
Yearn for and
What I need and I
Remain forever blessed
With these beads of faith.
