Doing What Works

I take a client to the dentist.
I never mind waiting,
Should have brought something to read though.
I’ll have to make due with what’s here.
Never hurts to learn something new.
“How To Prevent Dog Bites.”

The appointment’s over-
Went well,
Nice smile.
We head out into the parking lot.
Suddenly, the worst barking I have ever heard.
I hear somebody screaming, “Damien.”
I look up at this most vicious killing machine
Gunning for us like a bullet.
We leap in the van and slam the doors.
It works.

John, yes we can learn something everyday. And your new piece of learning worked perfectly in your knowledge bank. "Jump in the damn car and get the hell out of there, right John?" Neat write. Bill
