Bolt From The Blue

Just when my hopes were all breaking apart
Emptiness felt such a weight on my heart,
Right at that moment straight out of the blue
Came the return of my friendship with you.

How can it be that you called me just then?
Bolt from the blue- couldn’t happen again-
Never imagined, but no other way-
You were the miracle meant for that day.

Such a connection, such love we have known.
Did we forget we need not be alone?
Soon as I heard you I felt my heart burst,
Fountains of spring water quenching my thirst.

Maybe you heard it, the crack in my voice,
No way to hide that I felt such rejoice.
Memories kissed all the tears on my face.
You in my life are the meaning of grace.

This time we know there is no turning back.
Both of us see there is nothing we lack.
“Angel I love you,” my soul gently cries.
Bolt from the blue, what a precious surprise.
