Hot chocolate with a large dollop of whipped cream for me John.
I have not written but once today. Here I am reading poetry because I'm having withdrawal symptoms.
Blessings,

My dear friend, I've seen alcoholism destroy too many families. It's a horrible disease. One thing I have learned. The alcoholic has to be the one to WANT to quit....it's their decision. No matter how badly we want it for them, the choice is theirs. God bless, sweet friend.

YOu are so right with this one, I think there are very few among us who have not experienced the horror of this disease first hand or through someone we care about. Great write on a frightening subject.

John,
I'll join you for a Diet Coke (that's my addiction). :) I can relate--alcohol is an insidious addiction. I gave it up 23 years ago. :) Don't desire it at all any more...now if I could give up these damn smokes....
An excellent, potentially life saving write. :) Thank you, Sir!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :) |
