Angel On Your Shoulder

Angel On Your Shoulder

I’m sending God my resume in hopes that He’ll review
The things that I’ve accomplished, all the things I’ve learned to do,
For if I ever prove myself as truly one of His
I just may get the job I want, and here is what it is...

An angel on your shoulder, it’s the thing I want to be-
To whisper in your ears each day how much you mean to me-
To be there watching over you, to kiss you when you pray,
To tell you of God’s love for you and this is what I’d say...

There’s always been a reason for the things you feel inside-
Your every moment matters, every tear you ever cried
Is kept as precious diamonds in a ring you will receive-
Till then I want to take the job of helping you believe-

An angel on your shoulder, it’s the thing I want to be-
To whisper in your ears each day how much you mean to me.
You really are so special there is every reason why
If ever there’s an opening I promise to apply.
