I know death is the very end.
I know there’s nothing more.
And it will come a welcome friend
To finally close the door...
The door that has been closed on me
To shut out all the light.
I’ve seen all that I want to see
And living isn’t right.
I’ve seen the way we always hurt
The ones we love the most.
We say the words and then desert
To make ourselves a ghost.
There is no way I can explain
Behaviors of the heart,
But destiny is causing pain
By tearing it apart.
My dreams were to escape what’s real-
To hide from what is true .
And that is what it meant to feel
So much in love with you.
There is no point in cursing fate
That’s not what we supposed...
We find our love but it’s too late,
The door’s already closed.

Such words express what was deep within me just last night. How near is the closing of that door for many of us. Beautifully put.
