Woman Of Dark Pleasures
Oh woman of dark pleasures,
I wonder at your finery,
Dressed in sterling velvet
Of the deepest burgundy shade.
You loved me in the morning
When all around was flowing with the rivers of sweet dew,
And the air was filled with a thousand singing voices.
Whilst waiting for these moments once again,
I long for our early sojourn.
In unison we wore our summer garb,
And sat in fields,
Dreaming dreams of heaven we could almost touch.
You loved me in the afternoon,
When sleepy souls laze under the sun,
But not for us this vain repose.
We lay entwined,
Creating fondest memories.
Together we relaxed in the twilight,
Yet not content and never calm,
Our bodies rose in heat,
Though we adored the pain,
Until a pinnacle of endurance was reached.
Then we collapsed,
Exhausted, yet serene,
With the happiness of a king.
You loved me in the evening,
More than we had ever loved before,
But that was nothing to what lay ahead.
Darkness saw us adorned in ritual gowns,
Though we knew that our desires were but as one,
Still through the rites we mesmerised our feelings,
In a maze of fire,
Sensed completely,
Yet part untold.
You loved me through the night,
When gentle touches offered comfort,
So divine as to challenge passions, however strong.
For one whole day you loved me,
As could never be expressed by mere words,
And in these lonely hours,
I search the corners of my mind,
To gather each small part of you,
Until your healded return.
