Curtain Call
by ~ Chanti

Saturday, April 28, 2007
Not rated by the Author.

...

You are a mystery
but also the familiar scent of home.
An exploration upon ground
that accepts my footprints
and then sets them in stone.
I cannot read your mind
It is a labyrinth
too gordian to navigate
The complexity of it intrigues me,
...always will
It is like a corridor lined with doors
and filled with possibility.

Your heart is another matter
I read it like a blind person reads braille
The sense of it is in my fingertips,
- each nerve-ending alive
to the texture of your expression.
My imagination is its theater
You play out to a captive audience
under a spotlight that never dims.

Curtain call...

Chanti,

Love how you separate the mind and heart with the verses. A strong realism to the first verse...as we never truly know someone as much as we think we do. The heart is easier to discern, though and that's reflected in the second verse. Fantastic imagery throughout, and imaginative too.

Very nice word flow, imagery, and subject matter, Chanti. I love the style you wrote this in too.

I agree with these lines, Chanti, because the mind is a complex place, and it is too gordian to navigate. Thank you for sharing this intense piece.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your sister, Barbie

Really like this one, great use of metaophor and simile, which are both easily over done, but in this case just right. Bravo!
