I Believe in Miracles
by ~ Chanti

Rated "G" by the Author.

I posted this poem some time back but have made some revisions to it and am posting it again...this time it serves a different purpose.

I Believe in Miracles

Life can be so frightening and at times you may feel small

but don't give up the fight, when your back's against the wall

There has to be a way even when you can't conceive

And you will find an answer if only you'll believe.

It may just take a day for your life to be turned around

Remember it’s only over when you're six feet underground

Because as long as you have blood coursing through your veins

It is within your power to take back hold the reins.

So, when you're in a helpless state and your troubles are closing in

And when the wolf is at the door and even friends say you can't win.

Don't listen to the clamor or to the voices filled with doubt

If you dwell on the darkness, you're less likely to get out

Put your faith in God and keep your eyes above the storm

Don't focus on the lightening and the thunder clouds that form

Though powerless and frightened and unsure of where to turn

Of one thing be quite certain, there are lessons you will learn

And all of this will pass as the storm clouds roll away

And you'll look back on this time and then I know that you'll say:

"I believe in miracles, I've been a witness to a few,

and I am a good example that faith will take you through."

Dear Friends,

There seems to be people the world over facing crisis due to the recession and I have recently heard of a number of really tragic cases and it got me thinking. I know what it is like to face a crisis. I’ve faced a number of them through my life but I got through and am better off because of the experience. There are, however, many who are in a helpless and frightening situation right now and desperately need some kind of help. I decided to use my writing skills to help those in this position. I’m currently writing a book about how to cope in a crisis and it will be published soon. I decided that I would donate profits from the sales of this book to those facing a critical situation.

PLEASE HELP ME HELP HER
I recently found out about a wonderful elderly lady who is in such a critical situation and stands to lose her home. She is literally weeks away from total destitution.  I would like to help her get back on track. I thought that the book might help but due to the time factor it is not going to make an immediate difference and so I took other steps. I have written a number of articles and submitted them for publication through a syndication network. I’ve had two published and will be paid based on the number of views these articles get. I am not asking you for money but it would take literally seconds of your time to click on the links below and visit the pages where my articles are printed.  Any immediate proceeds that I am paid as a result of this will go towards helping this woman  if more money is raised, these funds will go towards others in crisis.  There is also another way in which you can help. After you have clicked on the links, please forward this message to other contacts on your contact list and ask them to do the same. I am hoping that this will get the message out and sufficient money will be raised soon enough to make a real difference. I can’t stress to you enough how important it is that you do this quickly. Her time is running out.

My Secrets to a Radiant and Youthful Complexion

Obviously the articles were written after I'd researched what people want to read and I will be submitting more along the same lines.

If you can offer any immediate help to the lady I mentioned above please message me via my message board on AD and I will supply you with whatever information is required. Please act on this now. I believe that your kindness will be rewarded. As you give, so it is returned to you.

Thank you,

~  Chanti

OK i clicked on the links, I don't know how that helps and I hope it's not to late. I wished I had known sooner but I wasn't tracking you, just stopped by to read a poem of yours. And what a wonderful verse it is. I can feel for this elderly lady. How sad when you get old and have no one. At least my parents had me to help them to the end. Been in financial trouble myself when my family passed on, so I know what it's like...

I agree Chanti, and this is a wonderful piece. It tells the reader to be psoitive, but I have a question. Howe can a person be positive when the cards are stacked against her?

I read both of your articles, and I agree with some of the points, and disagree with others. I guess that is why we have a brain. LOL. Anyway, men and women will be at odds with each other through eternity because I have heard many men say, I just can't understand women, while his friend says, who can. Men are so easy to understand though. Wear something low cut, not necessarily provocative, but just low enough tomake his sexual appetite water, and he will trip over himself to get a woman in bed.

The other article I agree to disagree, but home remedies do have their significance. My mother was a licensed cosmetologist, and while she never knew she was teaching me the secrets of makeup and hair styles, I learned that makeup does have an impact on how our skin looks throughout our lives. My mother was always so young looking that people thought she was my sister. Even after I left the institutions.

You have written this very well and the articles that go with this poem are good too, but evokes controversy, and that is a good thing. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

All many people need is a little boost. I'm helping an elderly lady (my mother) after my father had a long illness and left her nearly destitute. I'm helping a woman in prison who helped me without pay. I'm helping a woman in a wheelchair repair my old lowered-floor van she acquired it from the charity I gave it to.

Keep up the good work!

I wish I could help, too, Chanti - but as Karen (below) said, we're barely keeping our heads above water. Y'all have my prayers, the compassionate ones who are able to help, and especially those needing help. Yesterday, Karen and I were downtown Fort Worth - all the homeless! Breaks my heart -

(((((HUGS))))) love and prayer, Karla. :(

Great cause; I wish I could help, but I am disabled, and we are living on less than $250 per month for two people. I hope you understand. I will do the next best thing: pray for this dear lady; how awful! Too many people facing this today; and meanwhile, the fat cats continue to play and don't give a rip. And yesterday, while we were in downtown Fort Worth, we saw some homeless veterans, including one who walked on crutches and was dragging his possessions behind him. This should NOT be! Absolutely heartbreaking to witness! We wanted to help, but couldn't, didn't have any money ourselves on us. We felt bad for them!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
