Metaphorically Speaking Mostly
by Sharon Lockwood

Metaphorically Speaking Mostly is a book full of metaphoric poetry. Because poetry is an expression of our inner self, many will take away something different in the mean..

Justified

I have been known to say, everything I write about comes from personal experience. Well in some form another I still believe that is true . however, sometimes I have taped the main vein and words come easy and flo without thought. Maybe its about a movie that moved me or an event like an earthquake or a battered woman in the news.

I swallow my pride
I drink down your lies
Filling your ego with compromise.
Basking in the mud bath and sweat,
Vapors and refuse I will never forget.
I will rise with venomous repose
Undulating,
 Pulsating,
 Composure exposed,
Justified I will not tire
Before my venom is entire,
Throwing my victim aside if you will,
Slain
Left bleeding
 Underneath my quill.
Justified
Jugular exposed
I will rise victorious,
 Composure repose.

Well done and told dear friend and it seems that many stories and poems from true life experience really do hit home as the best told indeed. Nice work as always Karen your friend Laura
