 SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM  EPICURUS

Is God willing to prevent evil,
but not able?
Then he is impotent.

Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing?
Whence then is evil?

Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Are humans not just as often the cause of their own misfortune as they are the victims of it?

God is neither impotent nor malevolent, though those who project such attributes onto him may possess them in varying degree.

Though God is both willing and able to prevent evil, and will ultimately destroy it entirely, he bides his time to allow us to prove our character and our faith, and provides spiritual support to sustain those of us who take the time to genuinely get to know Him. I appreciate the honesty of your doubt, can you honour the integrity of my faith?
