“The Sun, The Moon, and The Stars,

Are All There To Guide Us.”

Dennis Banks

It is not yet even dawn

I feel a kiss on my cheek

I realize it’s not my spouse

Good old Trucker has to pee

Soon, I am outside with my dogs

Staring up at the magical full moon

Eventually, our returning robins sing

Their spring ode is quite a lovely tune

This is when I recall the numerous names

March’s Full Moon, has had through history

I have always liked the Native American ones

They have always made the most sense to me

The robins have reminded me of  the ‘Worm Moon’

It is now the time of year that the worms come out

My thoughts suddenly turn to my backyard garden

I have always enjoyed preparing it, without a doubt

Before very long, two large crows now caw out

Some tribes also called this the ‘Full Crow Moon’

Crows are intelligent birds; they know that it’s spring

And now, my dogs are captivated by their joyous tune

And soon, my spouse calls out to me through the doorway

She says that she’s making us some pancakes for breakfast

She has now reminded me this moon is also called ‘Sap Moon’

In spring, many tribes knew tapping maple syrup now, is the best

Early American settlers also referred to this Full Moon, as ‘Lenten Moon’

As they began to carefully prepare, to celebrate the pending Easter holiday

My dogs and I listen to the robins and the crows, as we stare up at the moon

Then we head back inside for breakfast, and the start of a glorious spring day

I am sure that the Native Americans were very happy to see this "Worm Moon/Sap Moon/Crow Moon" I too, like them, embrace the wonderful glow of this spring moon.

Wonderful insight to this amazing orb.

Peace, love and light,

Reminds me of why I wake up in the early morning… And it isn't to let the dogs out to pee or look at the moon. But you've given tribute to the way people have viewed the moon and I am grateful for learning from your experience.

Last night's moon, from here, was a truly magical sight. It was bigger than me and so low it seemed to touch the top of the hedge. Of course I did not have my camera and by the time I walked home, it had shifted.
"Darn it!!!"

Nature speaks better and more precisely than technology. Here we can learn that nature comes first than technology in knowing about the seasonal changes as we can now see with the breaking news of Spring. Happy Spring day to you and your loved ones.
