“I always watch my dogs.

They throw themselves into everything they do;

Even their sleeping is wholehearted.

They aren't waiting for a better tomorrow,

Or looking back at their glory days.

Following their example,

I try to stick to the present.”

Music: Garden Party

The hot Dog Days of Summer

Had arrived here early this year

As did a much different Shadow

No longer lonely or filled with fear

And my dogs always seem to have fun

Even on the muggiest of sweltering days

They all took turns, with a refreshing dunk

Then around the yard they would give chase

First to enter the water was old Tater

He delights in his little backyard pool

Next came his mentor, good old Turbo

Who knows that a dip feels mighty good

After watching these two for a few minutes

Shadow quickly decided to take the plunge

And tiny little Guerro, the fast learning puppy

Raced over to the pool, he couldn’t resist the fun

And before long, all four of them raced to my side

They wanted me to join them, in their delightful party

So I raced over to the pool, and now I plopped right in

I always watch my canines; they never fail to inspire me

Yummy, Hot Dog!
Dogs are so like children, only dogs never grow up.
LOL, do they use you to turn around, leaving cuts and scratches on your body.
Such super fun! I bet the wife loved cleaning up after you'd had all the fun with your dogs n pup.
