Dreams are the thoughts, visions, reflections, TV shows, conversations, subliminal images of your life that are mixed together into a screenplay for your nightly viewing pleasure.

Pleasant dreams...

The concept of remembering

incites the greatest dreams.

The Chapters of my life

get siphoned from their scenes.

They play in 3D movies

while my body is asleep.

Directed scenes by Spielberg

on the screen of my rem-sleep.

Plots of co-joined images

that were taken from my day

appear in mixed vignettes

in shades of techno-grey.

Fighting, flying, chasing,

become my story line.

I wake up in cold sweat

to dream another time.

I like the tightly constructed stanzas and the steady rhythm of this poem when read aloud. Dream exploration has always intrigued me. Sleep can be a vehicle to a broader, more open side of one's self.
