Creed
I believe in the light, in the shadow that extends it to the other side of what it is and consummates it.
I believe in the essence, a single one, of leaf and wing, of wind and mouth, rain and flame, skin and stone.
I believe in the end that, of the word, is soil and womb; in the seed’s death that delivers the beginning;
and I believe, with no word, in the whole, in nothingness, in the time that is not, and in what is now, or the infinite.
I believe in what I believe the dog believes, when it simply barks its belief in something I can’t see, and yet other dogs visibly echo;
just as I believe and hear it, indisputable, in that other echo that is, of the voice of the mare that it can’t see, all that matters to the strayed foal.
I believe in believing with the natural harmony of the non-conscious belief;
thus, in one sole creed, in believing with no creed is what I believe in.
