Oh that you should tempt me

A love song between 2 people that all can relate too.

Oh that you should tempt me
when you know full well
that I cannot reply in kind.

I enjoy your words
there is no harm
in listening to love's song
as long as I keep distance.

But when your eyes betray me
I'll find a place
where I can hide.
