Trees planted years ago for shade
block even the view from up here
if there were shooting stars in this
early morning, I'd never have the
chance to name them
Not here where the air is so isolated
from thunderstorms that never show...
At Shaver Lake I slept out underneath the night
breathed in the crisp, clean, that was undamaged
by the brightness of a city below, unimagined
by those living perpetual, day-to-day before the
likeness of things collectively unreal, not like
this glitter storm I was watching in awe...
"Wow..." "Cool..." And double that effect,
I totally agree.
