Split Down The Middle

Conflicted about who he is; Ambivalent

A man who is split down the middle;

Two halves of a whole

A man who does not care;
A man who cares too much
A man who hates; a man who loves

He has seen many terrible things,
And has seen many beautiful things;
He has committed so many wrongs
To others; and has and has done right by few

He knows how to destroy life
And how to save life

He is a man trying to be bad
And a man trying to be good

He has found love in the most unexpected place and
He has lost it

He travels endlessly, looking for what is not there
And what he will never find; living in both worlds;
Trying to comprehend his plight

He is a man split down the middle;
Two halves of a whole;
Both a warrior and a poet
He is a man who is lost; lost without his soul
