The Goddess and the Man in the Moon

The moon hangs blood-red tonight
that can only mean
the Goddess and the old man in the moon
are deep in celestial mediation
I am the only mortal
who can see and appreciate
the Goddess's mystery; her enchanted ways
I stand very, very still
listening in on the moon and the Goddess's serenade
and my
uttermost fears are soothed forthwith
for the music
unlike any I have ever beheld
speaks words to me
instead of notes
with such a voice of love you can't imagine
 this celestial music
the Goddess
speaks to me, I am with you always
though it may seem I'm faraway
and not paying attention
I am here, forever

her voice resounds like soothing, delicate word/notes
makes me think of word/jazz
I was struck dumb and could only nod
as the lightest
feather-tender brushed against my lips
bells pealed somewhere
sealing into my heart the calming words
the Goddess had just spoken
 and the mysterious melody composed
by the Goddess and the man in the moon
raptured my heart with a gentle tug
and I understood that
the gentle brush upon my lips
was the Goddess' enchanted, delicious kiss
leaving the scent of ripe peaches upon my mouth
