Angie

how could I forget Angie
or Dallas, Texas
or Jimmy and Angie's sister
I've forgotten her name
Angie had red hair
Jimmy and her sister lived together
they set me up with a blind date with Angie
the four of us went dancing
Angie and I melded into each other's arms
on that dance floor
some hope-to-hit-it-big country band
was kicking ass
had us clinging to each other
oblivious to everyone else
by the time Angie and I made it to my apartment
we had groped each other senseless
on that dance floor
Jimmy and her sister were long gone
we were on the sofa
having a nightcap and sucking
on each other's tongues
after awhile I said, how about let's go into the bedroom?
she said, "You'll have to pick me up and carry me."
I said, huh?
she said it again
so what's a guy to do in a situation like that
right
I stood, gathered her into my arms
and we played house the rest of the night
Angie and I were an item after that
she was a good person
dynamite in bed
we'd probably still be together
except for that terrible night
when her eight-year-old daughter
came into the room where we were and said
I'LL CALL THE POLICE!

I'm still laughing at - The sucking of each-others tongues - Blunt and to the point.
Enjoy the way you speak to the reader.
Once again this has that air of mystery.
The kid calling the kops, for robbing her mum. :) Nice write, Jerry.

This reads like a memoir that turned into a nightmare. I know the feeling. Danced with so many…

That last line allows for some interesting interpretation. Kind of akin to "Derek, when are you going to do it?"

Do what? I think I am missing something here. Everything sounded wonderful in fact at first I thought this was a metaphor. Actually it is wonderful, but I wonder why the 8 year old daughter ruined everything unless... it was an 8 year old habit that was catching up. You really have me thinking on this one! It to me seems more like a puzzle! At the end why was it ruined because of this! Great one, I like this... it really has me thinking!
