enjoying mother nature's gifts of sight.
May 2012

On an early May morning
but a few days ago.
While walking beside a stream
a precious sight I found.
All nestled in high green grass
a delicate new fawn.

She lay sleeping peacefully
breath content and rythmic.
I stood there smiling broadly
my heart all warm inside.
A beautiful fresh new life
hers, but just begining.

I backed away quietly
a peeking tom escaped.
No human trace left behind
to complicate her life.
A perfect morning saunter
in nature's blissful realm.

Wise words, Budd. It is best to observe nature and to let the wild creatures and flowers and such... ...just be. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Enchanting! I love the way you revere the fawn. This is a reminder for us to help heal the earth, to walk barefoot in the solitude of nature but not disturb!

Wonderful write, brings to mind a trip I was making one time drving down a highway a young fawn still with spots was in the middle of my lane, I put on my four way flashers and followed behind him flashing other vehicles and acting as a buffer until he finally decided to leave the highway for the woods.

I would have loved to walked upon that sight. I have a friend who lives in Virginia ans she has deer foraging in her front yard and eating all the squirrels food she puts out, plus munching on her flowers.
