A million stars seen out at night
sharing and spreading their twinkles of light
Each holds the dreams of which one dreams
A tiny promise found on the beams
There is one there marked for thine
Would you help find the one that's mine?
I've searched and searched, none found in sight
There are so many, the sky is so bright.
Is this an omen of things ahead?
A wish to wish upon a star that's dead
I won't give up, I can't, don't you see?
It's there, I know, it has to be.
It may not seem that much to you
A wish, a promise that may be untrue
It doesn't matter what truth is found
It's but a dream spirtually bound.
