The Gigolo And I

The story of Frankie and Jane.

Our eyes first met
Across a bar
You the bartender
Gigolo

Sitting amused
Watching the star
Serve liquid courage
To bestow

The gift of gab
Upon still lips
Transforming faces
Came aglow

Turning to me
Smiling you asked
What was my poison
Adding low

"Are you in love?"
To first query
Said "Zinfandel" then
Curtly "No"

Romanced the wine
Observing still
You orchestrating
Quite the show

Seeing you come
Back my way thought
This was the perfect
Time to go

Quickly you met
Me at the pass
Inviting me to
Your home so

Spaghetti you
Would make for me
Along with hot tub
You'd bestow

I'd never heard
This line before
Accepting invite
Even though

Doubting went I
Enjoyed the meal
Alone the hot tub
Plus Merlot

Untouched by you
True gentleman
Thought you were like no
One I know

We soon were wed
I reminisce
That night seventeen
Years ago

That bartender should give lessons..... Love the story, has to be near impossible to rhyme that many words more than once in a lifetime, though. 5 stars for the effort.... Dick

Ah. Great story, my poetical friend. If true it is a fabulous story, if not, it may come true now that you have told the story. Lovely.
