The ocean today was BEAUTIFUL...

Really sorry to rub this in,

To you folks without rain,

Or even water in a bin,

But swimming today was wonderful,

Perhaps so much enjoyment could be considered a sin…?

The water was like 80 degrees,

Went swimming way out beyond the knees,

A very few waves did come rolling by,

And the water was so clean,

It made me all over & inside sheen…

I stayed in for the better part of an hour,

Far I stayed from the lifeguard tower,

Tons of people swimming & a few young surfers,

I left just before the dark clouds blew in,

Probably carrying with them a late afternoon shower…J

Just you and the surf. A time to collect your thoughts and have the waves move your body in a way that can be done on land with your feet on the ground. I remember that feeling well off Galveston and Surfside beaches. Bathtub warm water lulling you into a sense of satisfaction until a shark came along or you had to pee.

So glad to hear that good old Mother Ocean gave you a bath,
Our dear old Ma just asked me, "When did Jersey bathe last?"

I love this! It sounds a lot like summer here (Australia) and the beautiful ocean near home. Only in summer it's very rare for any rain at all (WA). It's winter here, cold, rainy and windy today.
I'm a new member so am still finding my way around. Not sure if you have profile pages here (I can't find it!) - I was going to see where you were from.
