A conversation between lovers. One saying to the other "Yes, I will love you when you are no longer famous."

Yes, I will love you when you are no longer famous.

(This  poem is  the response to the poem "Will you love me when I am no longer famous")

 Baby….

I never cared for

The poppin bottles

Comfortable houses and hardwood floors

Dressed up like high fashion models

I never cared for the…

The riches, the expensive, the exquisite

The fine, the lavish, the over the top, the luxury

The travels, the exotic, the fame, the foreign counties and hotel visits

What mattered…was

Was you happy with the life we both lived

Was you at ease with the life choices you made

If something happened and you could not give

A lifestyle that was high paid

You ask me

"Would you love me if I was no longer famous"

That you wanted to leave this life behind, somehow be set free

To again walk amongst the crowd unknowing and nameless

To again be the average, the common, to be loved not for wealth

But simply… for me

Quiet Peace, Quiet privacy

That fame and wealth

Trashes, throws, and burns fearlessly

Again to be left alone to yourself

Without having the phone ring aimlessly

Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring

Baby….

Where ever you go I'll Follow

My water is deep

Not shallow

If you want to leave this life

Together we'll make the leap

we can start tomorrow

Baby…

We can start anew

Let the sands of fame

Wash away with the new

A new quieter life we can claim

Us and we

Were family

You and me

Like peanut butter and jelly

Baby….

I never cared for the poppin bottles

Comfortable houses and hardwood floors

…….

…….

Dressed up like high fashion models

You are at the inner part of my

heart, my core, my balance,

My center

Fame and vast amounts of money

Can be let go so easily

As long as we have each other

To answer your question

Yes, I will love you when you are no longer famous

When they no longer cheer for you

When they no longer clap for you

Yes, I will love you when you are no longer

Famous
