A Black Woman’s Prayer
Father, I appreciate
all the blessing you have
brought my way.
I know I cannot change
my life without your guide
cannot walk with glory
without you by my side, this
is my prayer to you
I willing to do whatever
you ask me to.
Father, my babies
need protection and wisdom
the streets are hard
engulfing little children lives
without regard.
But I know father you will keep
your arms around my family
as we well deserving accept your
blessings, deservingly.
Father, stay in the
middle of my man and me,
I love him, without
a doubt, but he doubts
In his trouble, that’ll you
bring him out
I told him
trust in God, don’t harden
your heart
we may love, but nothing compares
to God’s grace
as long as we do our part.
Father, as a woman
I fall short of what
you expect of me,
I try Lord, I really do,
I want to be happy
and misery gets the better
of me.
Walk with me father
As I see depression and misery fade
I can vision my steps on golden streets
with Angels for company
that pave the way
on the streets you made.
