it’s you and it’s me
the time is now
the sun is fading
and you don’t need to be alone tonight
I linger in your head
hoping for an invitation
to move into your heart
where the working girl
almost never goes…
maybe it’s a scary door
to open
but with a little light
I can sweep out the broken promises
and wipe down the wounded pride
and bring new life
to an otherwise forgotten place
frozen in time
by some chilly words
and a cold shoulder or two
perhaps, you have the edge
being the sexy sleuth that you are
but don’t doubt my prowess
in undercover …operations
