violence always escalates

Premature Termination

I overheard someone say today

I’ll kill you the next time

Bowing her head she cuffed her hands

No doubt an uncomfortable clime

I couldn’t help watching them

As he stared her down

Shame carpeted her look

Not new did it seem found

As he pointed to her face

She obeyed with her eyes

Clearly not a common girl

Who told any white lies

As she motioned up to speak

He shot her right back down

No place here for victims

Not with him around

I knew she could see me

From the corners of her sight

Showed no emotional action

As I began witnessing her fight

He wouldn’t stop

He wouldn’t look away

Her biggest fear was simple now

It was would she die today

Who was I to stand just still

Without a means to save

What could become soon kill

To this poor young girls grave

He repeated his threat

Teasing and laughing at she

She better wipe away those tears

Cause soon his threat could be

Now others were catching on

Seeing this deadly form he abuse

For whom will be hero

Or would everyone refuse

Watching the public no one nothing

Was standing in the way

Not by fault but fear itself

And what that could portray

No one moved just like he

And we all held our breaths

Then he struck her down to the ground

Her blood creating quite a mess

He stood up tall looked around

Just to warn us all

He was beast and do not mess

With his strength grand and tall

I stood up and I threatened him

Told the girl to come

It was worth my own blood

To ensure she would have none

A beast indeed of thug design

As he strolled towards my stance

Stared me still and all I said

Was Sir may I have this dance

He spit on me and turned around

Towards his bleeding bride

She clearly had resigned herself

There was no where left to hide

With his flaring coat and size of hate

Camouflaging his way back

Approaching his bleeding wife

His spit had me react

A tremendous amount of cops fear

I saw her eyes swell

I drew my gun from my hip

Knowing these gates of hell

A reflection from window glass

My memory saw his gun

I executed protocol

He ignored repeated reruns

Her face displayed threat

Just as both guns popped

Twin timing had I failed

Sequence bits couldn’t have stopped

A wife now terminated

And a beast just scratched

My badge hit the floor with me

He was heading back

Worth premature retirement

I shot him fast and cold

A marriage ended tragically

Abuse again is told

I love your writing, Kimberly..never tire of any of it, and for me, a life long goal to be as tremendously unique and special in how I write and of course, as creative
