Thoughts during a scary plane ride
What if I was gone tomorrow
Either by Destiny’s design,
The Fates’ sharp shears,
God’s divine plan,
Or Nature’s course
No reason for an early end.
The questions unanswered
For those that I love,
For those that care,
Those that wonder,
And those unknown
Bounding to limits unrequited.
I have stated my feelings
Of infinite love,
Undisputed respect,
Unconditional support,
And fathomless trust
But there things unspoken.
Life is so unpredictable
Sometimes long,
Other times short,
Unexpected endings,
And heart-tearing waits
Awaiting the eventual end.
Time is not our friend
Don’t wait for later,
Don’t hold it in,
Keep love in your life,
Spread joy in the world
For what if you were gone tomorrow.

Oh boy, sorry for the scarey flight, but it does give us pause as to where our priorities rest, beautifully stated...
Be always safe,
Karen

The world would be a sad, sad place without you!
The cats would go insane waiting for your return.
I wouldn't be the same but I would manage somehow.
