Truth and Reason

Searching for truth in many confused words
I listen for the meaning behind what’s said
Searching for a reason on a troubled path
I look for unseen signs of clearer ways

The truth lies hidden deep within the mind
Buried beneath lies and innuendo
The reason is disguised within the mind
Fighting against the deception and fraud

Stealthful and piercing motion from myself
Forces a beam of truth to the surface
A constant and steady gaze from my eyes
Eases a speck of reason to be shown

Keeping the pressure on I move closer
The truth breaks free from its imprisonment
Continuing to stare I do not blink
The reason reveals itself completely

My efforts have brought the truth before me
The truth sounds sweeter than I imagined
My search has brought the reason before me
The reason clears the way to brighter days

I hope the last 10 years has been great and that your loneliness has been dispelled from your heart. I hope that you now see the truth and reason that inspired this poem.

Truth-seekers often travel a lonely road, Robin. Calm, steady reason is the best tool available to humanity. Great write.
Best regards,
Leland
