In desperation I read the lie
Took the wine
Faded a dream
Left a coin
Covering eyes
One under the tongue
It will be an answer in the end
Feel my throne open and hurt
Speed comes in a burst
End my friend
Ire lets opening burn
Crawling a away
More left
Bottle empty hard
Sad kiss good-bye
She weeps a love
Trial to keep
But life is done
Wonder in dread
A wait upon a cross
Loss is another
Alone
Drove
Hard
Last drop of pride
Hide to give
Hurt
Sleep
Faith
Cry

Haven't we all told them...and had them told to us? Shouldn't be hurting anyone with them, 'tho> Your poem reminds me of Frank Sinatra's song "The moon was all aglow, And heaven was in your eyes, The night that you told me, Those little white lies..."
Well said in your poem, Walt, but we shouldn't hold on to those sad words...huh?
Blessings and Love - Micke
(who has a not-so-good reversal with her back...not much relief, and not writing now...hardly any reading here at AD, either...can't give up, 'tho :o) |
