Singing Songs of Spring
by
©Gwendolyn Thomas Gath

“…God’s precious creatures
gathered without reason

Warm days of spring
filled glimmer

Days of fall
our past September

Let our hearts
ring with cheer

For the summer filled
days of love are so tender

We shall all bask soon
in the sunlight’s glow

Knowing deep within our hearts
Of our Creators' splendor

The beauty of the seasons and God's creations surround us. I also appreciate the seasons. Have you ever spent a night or two in the High Sierras and stood under heaven's dome? To bad we are paving so much of it, but then there are so many. What are we to do? Thanks for dropping by and reading one of my poems.

Gwendolyn,
This poem is wonderful;it helps me to vicariously bask in spring's sun until the weather here in Illinois becomes more springlike.
I look forward to reading more of your work.

Really nice poem. Fortunately I live where it's warm year round, but I too look forward to Spring...something about it refreshes us! Thank you ... I agree about using larger font (I do the same when I post even tho it takes more space, but it's easier to read.. thanks for that as well! hugs, lindalaw
