I Awake

In some ways I still consider this a work in progress.

I Awake
by Diane C. Hundertmark

I awake
a dream's remnants
flickering in my mind
flat primitive drawings

but what is meant
by symbols confused
and omens glimpsed?

images of the past in fragments
or aspirations lost in time?
scrawls of my deepest longings
or portents of future events?

Actually, I must agree with Ann Berg: this poem is finished and quite to the waking point at that. Keep up the good work by moving on to new works. ~~Love in Christ, Bonnie Q

this one is a good one to say the least. You call this a work in progress -- how much longer are you going to make this one? Keep up the strong work. I got a poem up here titled "Pacione's Inferno" and a short story titled "Dreams From The Stillborn."

Looks like a finished work to me. Flows beautifully and the choice of words is supurb.
