You Don't Need Him, (Anymore.)

Another true story, but this is sung with Medieval music. The tune was just in my head and I had to write it, though I've don't remember ever listening to any, except in old historical things on television.

He won me over, with words of sweet love;
It seemed he came straight from Heaven above.
He made me feel like a queen;  he was the King.
His talk was cheap; he didn't mean a thing.

Now that I'm hooked, I just sit and wait for him.
He says he'll be there, but it's only a whim.
Seemed so sincere, that I made myself believe;
He was everything, that I'd ever need.

I won't believe him anymore.
Take that advice, show him the door!
He's not the one I thought he was.
I don't need him, no I won't need him.
Anymore.

He held me close and his kiss is was like a dream.
I loved him so much that I told him how I feel.
He said he felt the same, I meant more than anything.
He'd ever known, but he don't mean a thing.

I don't need him,  no I won't need him,
Any more.

Okay Donni, write this as a poem, not a song. The breaks keep you from seeing how the words flow, and I think they flow nicely! When you write songs, yes, you put in the breaks with the notes, but in poetry, you need an even flow or as I do, write so you either slow down the reader, or speed them up if its needs that.

You have a good start here and I'd like to hear the music that accompanies this poem.
